1. YOU ARE BURDENED FOR THE FUTURE OF MISSIONS

Yes, Apex Missions sends high school and college students on short term missions but that is not the reason Apex Missions exists.  Apex Missions is a mobilizing ministry to mobilize the next generation to the mission field and ministry.  One obvious method God's has lead us to at the point is building and providing a wide variety of missions experiences for high school and college age students to serve now in the Great Commision as well as get a taste of how God can, and wants, to use them.  In its very nature, my role with Apex Missions will put hundreds of young people on the mission field every year, but that is just a beginning point in our mobilizing mission. On top of that, we are also working to intentionally play a role in building and expanding the mission field through the next generaiton. One of the very exciting things for us is that God is opening the door and calling Apex Missions to be a major player for the EFCA in building, connecting, and sending the ReachGlobal missionaries of the future.

2. YOU BELIEVE THE NEXT GENERATION IS NEEDED IN MISSIONS

My heart has always been for the next generation. God had called me into student ministries for over 25 years.  The first 25 years of my call was to bring the gospel to the students world.  Now God has favored me with the opportunity to bring students to the world with the gospel while at the same time equipping them and providing steps for them to hear and experience God's call on their lives to go as the next generation of missionaries. We have already seen dozens go and with your help we will see God send hundreds more! 

3. YOU BELIEVE THE GOSPEL IS THE GOOD NEWS ... AND NEEDED EVERYWHERE

There are two major ways our ministry will have an impact for reaching the lost.  First, Apex Missions experiences are always Gospel centered.  Students will step out of their comfort zones to bring the Gospel to people all over the world calling people everywhere to respond to Christ.  Second, as the students do this, we will be equipping and training them to live missionally everyday of their life.  The way we say this in Apex is this... 1 week of missions impacting the next 51 weeks (and beyond) of life. Apex mission experiences are not just about serving they are also about being trained and equipped.  Think of it as real life training as they step out of the classroom and trust God to use them in missions. This, along with the equipping they will receive, gives them confidence and tools as they trust Him and step out of their comfort zones at home as they take the gospel from "here" (wherever they are) to "everywhere" (wherever God leads them).  

4. YOU BELIEVE GOD HAS CALLED THE SOMMER FAMILY TO GO!

I am certain that every believer cares deeply about the values shared above.  But some people also have a heart to support our family trusting that we are following God's calling in our lives and that you want to be partners with us in whatever ministry we do.  We are so very thankful for you and your friendship.  We do NOT want to do ministry alone!!!  

Why "The Old Church Bus"?

We chose the title, "The Old Church Bus" for a couple of reasons. First, it reminds us of the old days (and present day for some groups), when youth groups would load up in the old church bus or van to head out on a mission trip together. Sometimes the bus added to the adventure but it always created great memories. Second, we recognize that God has called us to this mission with APEX and the GLD and we can't do it alone. We are asking you to consider getting on the old church bus WITH us as we go on this mission journey together....to bring the gospel from here to everywhere.
